Check back each month for a new wellness topic and Nestor’s Tip of the Month!
Taking care of yourself is an important part of having a successful semester. College can be stressful, and between academic pressures, adjusting to new routines and environments, and balancing competing priorities, it’s normal to feel overwhelmed at times.
This October, make your health and well-being a priority by exploring the wellness resources and events available right here on campus. Whether you’re looking for ways to manage stress, stay healthy, or learn more about the support available to you, there are plenty of opportunities to care for your mind and body.
Make Time for Your Health
Small choices can make a big difference in how you feel. Make time to recharge, get enough sleep, stay active, eat well, and check in with yourself when stress starts to build. And don’t forget to take advantage of the health and wellness resources available right here on campus.
Nestor’s Tip: You don’t have to wait until you’re feeling overwhelmed or under the weather to take care of yourself—make wellness part of your routine.
Every Wednesday, Jenny Francis, our Registered Dietitian, will be available in the Dining Commons to provide students with valuable information and education on healthy eating and nutrition. During these sessions, students will also have the opportunity to sample nutritious foods and learn how to incorporate them into their daily meals. This is a great chance to engage with Jenny and gain practical tips for maintaining a balanced diet.
